Job title Accounts & Administration Coordinator –Odisha

Department: Program Implementation

Location: Any one of the targeted district (Angul, Balesore, Bargarh, Boudh, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj & Sundargarh)

Salary: Between Rs. 65,000/- to Rs. 75,000/- Per Month depending on the experience of the candidate and last drawn salary

Contract Duration: 7 Months ( January 1, 2022 to July 31, 2022) Extendable

Level Of Contact With Children: : 3 (None or rare contact with children)

About the project:

Plan India is going to implement a project with the aim to increase the demand for, distribution and uptake of COVID-19 vaccination, particularly for the vulnerable and marginalized populations in 9 Districts of Odisha. The proposed intervention will focus on augmenting the Government’s COVID-19 vaccination programme with the objective to reduce vaccine hesitancy and increase demand for vaccine and strengthen the last mile connectivity. Plan India proposes to intervene in 18 blocks 2 blocks spread across nine targeted district of Odisha. While block saturation model will be adopted to cover the entire blocks from these blocks 450 locations (hard-to-reach area, vulnerable locations that are having poor COVID vaccination) Intensive intervention will be done in these location along with working in other locations/villages of the block. Four pronged approach to be adopted i.e. 1) awareness generation; 2) community engagement; 3) Strengthening service delivery and 4) innovation in last mile delivery. The duration of the project is from December 1, 2021 to July 31, 2022.

SUMMARY OF THE OVERALL JOB :

The Accounts & Administration coordinator would be responsible to manage the financial & administration aspect of grant project implementation in the state of Odisha

Job Description:

• Managing all financial and administrative matters related to the project implementation, maintaining adequate accounting records/review all incoming invoices, vouchers, and receipts.
• Prepare all payment vouchers, obtain appropriate approvals and signatures/ submitting timely financial reports to the National office, as well as maintaining day-to-day administrative operations.
• Assist in the identification of vendors, quotes for price comparison/ Draft purchase orders.
• Extend support in the timely completion of internal & external audits
• Support state project manager in project administration and team management.

Reporting to: The Accounts & Administration Coordinator will be reporting to the State Project Manager-Odisha on all issues associated with his/her work responsibilities.

Essential:

• Masters Degree in business administration, business studies, business management, Graduate in Commerce or related field, with a specialization in Finance
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive and relevant work experience in a similar organization on similar profile
• Experience with donor finance reporting and ability to manage the field level finance related issues.
• Experience in administration
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and outstanding communication skills to effectively communicate within and outside the organization to collect and consolidate relevant financial data
• Proficiency in Computerized Financial Management/ Accounting packages, Microsoft Office
• Experience of working with national/ international NGO will be given preference.
• Experience of working in the direct implementation program/project
• Excellent knowledge of Local language(Odiya) and English (Speaking, Reading and Writing)
• Ability to do multitasking
