the area of health and socio-economic development since last above
35 years. SPYM is working in the domains of Health, Socio-economic
development, Advocacy and Networking in the North, South and North
Eastern part of India. SPYM has worked with Govt. agencies i.e.
Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Ministry of Social
Justice & Empowerment, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports,
Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India etc. along with
Multilaterals agencies like World Bank, UN agencies like UNDP,
UNFPA, UNICEF, UNAIDS, UNODC etc., bilateral agencies like DfID,
USAID, CIDA etc.
State Technical Support Unit:
is setting up the State Technical Support Unit (STSU) for the
State of West Bengal to support the State in implementation of
Tuberculosis Intervention as part of National Tuberculosis
Elimination Program. STSU will help guide the State TB Cell (STC),
District TB Officers (DTOs) and City Health administrators in
planning and implementation of activities leading towards TB
eliminationas envisioned by 2025. Key areas of support are:
Support the state in implementing the engagement of Service
Providers in private sector, NGOs and untapped areas.

Location: Kolkata, West Bengal
the Position: Responsible for training needs assessment, planning
and organising training for the service providers along with
developing e-training materials for various cadres of staff and
officers, digital data management etc.
o Provide technical support State TB Cell
and build capacity of State in producing information from reported
data and use of such information in programme monitoring and
o Assist State TB Cell in the preparation of
quarterly and annual NTEP performance reports of state

ICT based treatment adherence systems across the country
Assist State TB Cell in developing e-training materials for
various cadres of staff and officers

validation, analysis and its application to guide policies and

new initiatives to strengthen patient support systems including
universal access, social protection.
o Perform other duties
as required by State TB Officer (STO) in the interest of TB
Elimination in the State.
o Post Graduate or Higher Degree in Community
Medicine/ Preventive & Social Medicine/ PGDHM (2 Yrs Full
Time-AICTE approved) / Life Sciences/ Social Sciences, from a
recognized university/ Institute.
o Minimum of 10 years of
experience in public health programmes, out of which the candidate
should have minimum 5 years national or state level experience in
handling similar projects such as TSU/ program surveillance data,
and/ or capacity building, or equivalent.
Experience in TB programs, already located in the State of West

o Good communication
skills and proficiency in English & Hindi preferably.
Ability to undertake & deliver on the above responsibilities
