Position: Career Development Specialist


  • As CD (Career Development) Specialist, you will play a key role in helping us manage our career development and talent activities for our worldwide staff. In close cooperation with the CD team, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering aspects of the global career development cycle, with a particular focus on providing support to projects which enhance the CD and performance management (PM) experience for employees and line managers (inc. workday implementation).

  • You will contribute to and help co-ordinate projects which enhance the employee CD/PM experience, including those related to the introduction of workday. You will create documentation which explains key processes and policies (e.g. changes to CD cycle or new career frameworks) and develop an understanding of the Global Specialty Businesses portfolio, including in depth awareness of business priorities, stakeholders and CD practices within one of our business units You will also contribute to key CD initiatives, including development of communication materials and preparation of training sessions

  • In addition, you will support the management and co-ordination of our annual CD activities, monitor and support performance feedback collection, respond to first-line employee queries related the CD operations. You will actively monitor resolution of more complex queries by working with other CD team members and coordinate and prepare materials for CD Committee meetings

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree with demonstrated high academic achievement in a relevant subject

  • 2-4+  years of professional experience within a service-oriented company

  • Experience either within HR/people team, or in a consulting firm (or any other professional services company)

  • Experience of supporting development and implementation of new talent, performance or promotion processes preferable  

  • Experience in all standard MS Office software products and digital collaboration tools

  • Experience of Workday (operations or rollout) desirable

  • Clear and confident communicator with the ability to deliver messages in a concise manner with strong and effective written and verbal communication.
