The Position & Duration:

CAF India has been working on COVID Response Program since March 2020 and has worked on supporting the marginalized and vulnerable communities in the past including the frontline workers like doctors, nurses, police personnel, sanitation workers etc. We have provided support in terms of Food kit distribution, Distribution of cooked food, Distribution of PPE kits, provided livelihoods and Skills support among other interventions.

In COVID Wave II as well CAFI has been actively working on providing support largely to the government hospitals and government departments in various states (Over 20 States) by providing medical supplies like PPE kits, sanitizers, gloves, masks, concentrators, oximeters and thermos guns etc. Additionally, we have also provided concentrators in some hospitals, undertaken vaccination awareness, distribution of survival kits to the marginalized communities.

We are looking to hire a consultant to help us in execution of the COVID response projects in multiple states and ensure closure of the ongoing ones.

The duration of this contract is for 1 year, that may be extended as per requirement

Key Responsibilities: To be the overall nodal person to undertake the execution of the COVID Response projects, anchor of all the coordination between key stakeholders (Internal and external), and responsible for entire management of COVID Grants including funds management, partner management, Branding, managing procurements and supplies, Reporting and Communication.

• Develop state wise and donor wise execution plan in consultation with CAFI.
• Coordination with CAFI respective internal Team members from Programmes, finance, Due Diligence and Marketing and Communication for planning, implementation, reporting, branding, communication and documentation.
• Coordination with external stakeholders like NGOs, Health Departments, Government hospitals, any other Government departments
• Review of Need assessment and requests from Health Departments, Government hospitals, any other Government departments (Need based)
• Ensure CAFI’s and Donor Branding in each project as per Donor’s commitment and requirements.
• Develop ToR for State level consultants to be hired for CAF Direct projects.
• Review (and draft if required), MoUs with NGO partners or Donor (need based)
• Review and finalize Project completion reports
• Review Financial statements for each donors and submission of the same
• Ensuring capturing of impactful case stories for social media outreach
• Ensuring Donor requirements and commitments are fulfilled.
• Review concurrent projects and ensuring timely closure of the same and deemed reporting to donors
• Ensure COVID MIS Dashboard is updated and maintained regularly
• Ensure fortnightly reporting to MHA on COVID Response is done
• Manage repository of Proposals and Final Reports (Donor wise)
• Help Fundraising team in reviewing and finalizing proposals for donors with ground level inputs and operations related inputs.
• Weekly planning, update and reporting to COO on the progress.

Educational Qualifications: Qualifications & Competencies:

Postgraduate in Social work, Rural Development, Development Management or any other relevant academic qualification from a reputed University:

• Minimum 10 years of experience required for the position relevant to Social Sector
• Strong experience of working with Not for Profit organization with hands on experience of managing social sector projects
• Direct hands on experience of designing and managing procurement related projects with vendors and suppliers.
• Prior experience of Disaster management.
• Strong management skills with ability to engage multiple stakeholders both internally and externally
• Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt the communication lingo depending upon the stakeholder (e.g. to be able to talk about impact with the donor and be able to present CAF India’s other services and products to them, e.g. to be able to provide constructive inputs to NGOs and their staff on improving the management and practices to maximize inputs etc.
• Experience of managing and monitoring Not for profit sector organization with ability to provide recommendations and improving the systems and procedures. Should be able to develop, design, execute and monitor Projects, also guide and mentor NGOs in doing the same.
• Should be able to manage and train the team (or handhold team members whenever required) and fair understanding of delegation of work to appropriate team members
• Should be able to multi task and navigate efficiently between multiple task
• Ability to Coordinate with multiple people (internally and externally)
• Strong understanding on financial management, alignment of programmatic aspects with budget
• Should have the knowledge of the NGO sector and should have the capacity to undertake frequent review and provide appropriate feedback
