About the Organization:

Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. They are helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health.

Position: Consultant (Project Coordination)

Deliverables:

  • Coordinate with research staff, Government of Odisha and other stakeholders.

  • Collect data and various documents from Government of Odisha.

  • Coordinate activities related household survey in Ganjam district.

  • Coordinate to organize meetings with various stakeholders.

  • Coordinate to organize travel related to the study.

  • Desk review of various documents such as GOs, policy, plan, media briefs, reports etc.

  • Develop draft study tools, data collection and management.

  • Develop of draft reports and presentations.

  • Support in organizing trainings and conducting workshops.

  • Facilitate and liaise with Government officials, starting from health units to district and state levels.

  • Present research evidences for brainstorming and discussions.

  • Documentation of research activities and prepare progress report on a regular basis.

  • Facilitating in preparation of publishable manuscripts.

  • Assist the team lead in day to-day operations and coordination of all activities.

  • Reporting progress to the PI on routine basis.

  • Preparing donor reports including physical performance and financial utilization.

  •  Any other work as assigned by the supervisor/PI.

Qualification:

Essential: PhD or Master’s in Public Health or Masters in Business Administration or Masters in Social Work or Masters in Health Management or Masters in Rural Management or allied disciplines or PG Diploma in Public Health Management from reputed Institute.

Experience:

Essential:

  • Considerable (three to five years) experience in coordination in the public health field.

  • Ability to work quickly and produce concise, top quality reports in English.

  • Good writing skills and documentation experience.
