Data Analyst (EQA)

 

Organization:  

Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND) is established in India as an independent non-profit organization created under Section 8 (Indian) Companies Act, 2013 with its office in New Delhi. The organization is dedicated to activities that result in1) new diagnostic tools; 2) expanded access to these tools; and 3) strengthened diagnostic testing capacity for poverty-related diseases. FIND India has several projects in TB, Hepatitis C (HCV), COVID-19, Malaria, Fevers and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).

 

In India, FIND is extensively involved in Tuberculosis (TB) and assists the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP) in TB surveillance along with developing TB diagnostic laboratories and associated trainings on a pan-India level.

 

Overall objective: 

FIND is implementing partner for Central TB Division, Govt. of India. In collaboration with National Tuberculosis Institute (NTI), Bangalore, FIND is supporting the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP) to implement Point of Care (POC) TB NAAT External Quality Assessment (EQA) Proficiency Testing (PT) program in a phased manner across the country. FIND in collaboration with NTI have developed in-country capacity to manufacture proficiency testing (PT) panels for TB NAAT EQA.

 

Over the last few years, four rounds have been completed. In the recently completed round of 2020, POC TB NAAT EQA program covered 1110 public and private sector CBNAAT sites.

 

Under, The Global Fund (TGF) project, FIND will support NTEP for continuing POC TB NAAT EQA program. It will support NTI to implement EQA program for all CBNAAT sites in public and private sector sites. FIND will help NTI to scale up EQA for Truenat sites in a phased manner. Currently there are ~1500 sites and NTEP plans to expansion Truenat testing to ~8000 facilities over next 2-3 years. Truenat EQA will also cover all public and private sector sites participating in NTEP.

Key Job responsibilities:  

  • Collect, compile and analyse state wise, site level data as per the project mandate.

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data fields in all database.

  • Coordinate with NAAT labs and collect the data in timely manner 

  • Track and compile the data on day to day basis 

  • Organize huge data sets effectively for better visualization in the form of Graphs, charts, figures etc.

  • Process- structured, semi-structured and unstructured data sets to assess the key performance indicators (KPI’s)

  • Data analysis (quantitative and qualitative) and creating outputs for easy interpretations and implementing corrective action.

  • Ensure data is stored securely and back up are taken on a regular basis.

  • Participate in team meetings and present analytical findings to the team for tracking progress of activities

  • Support in preparation of project related reports, presentations, etc. 

  • Support in data compilation and analysis of various other lab quality related activities 

  • Any other responsibilities as identified from time to time as per project and program needs and as assigned by the Director, FIND India

Experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, computer science, information management or related field (certificate of Data analysis with R / python language)

  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years relevant work experience in management consulting, pharmaceutical or health industries entailing quantitative /analytical skills.

  • Preferrable experience of TB laboratory data management or any public health sector data management 

  • Experience of handling large data sets and coordinating with different stakeholders for its collection and compilation. 

  • Competency in various Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Presentation as well as use of google forms for data collection and analysis

Skills and Attitude:

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Should have an aptitude for problem solving

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities 

  • Ability to work independently and as well as in a team and in short timelines

Nature of Appointment: 

The selected candidate shall be initially offered a full-time (30 days) employment contract for a period of two year initially. The position will be extended subject to satisfactory performance, project extension and fund availability.

 

Compensation: FIND India offers a competitive salary and shall be commensurate with the skill and experience of the selected candidate.
