With recognition and
transition of SMNet, the role in community-based health program is
being evolved and thematic areas have been expanded to Home Based
Newborn Care (HBNC), Home Based care for Young Child (HBYC),
roll-out of New Mother and Child Protection (MCP) card,
strengthening of Newborn Stabilization Unit (NBSU), community
follow up of SNCU graduates, promotion of usage of ORS and Zinc
for diarrhea support in communication for prevention and
management of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) in identified
districts, Risk communication and community engagement for
COVID-19, in addition to routine immunisation, polio eradication
and strengthening cold chain (EVM). In the coming year, SMNet will
be engaged in other priorities like Health and Wellness Centres,
SAANS and roll-out of ANMOL.
By 2022 government and
partners have institutional capacity to ensure pregnant women,
newborns and adolescent girls, especially from marginalized groups
have equitable availability, access, knowledge and demand for
quality maternal, newborn and adolescent health care services both
in community and health facility, in selected states. By 2022,
government and partners at national, state and district level have
access to disaggregated data and evidence, with the capacity to
use it for prioritizing policy, planning, monitoring and budgetary
actions to scale up essential RMNCH+A interventions including
demand generation, with focus on marginalized groups, especially
the girl child.
The consultant will assist in managing,
updating various health databases which are associated with SMNet
supported interventions- Polio, immunization, HBNC, HBYC, SNCU/
NBSU, LaQshya, WASH facilities in Health centres, Defeat
Diarrhoea/IDCF, ORS, Zinc usage, VHND monitoring, COVID-19, Dastak
Abhiyan (AES campaign), HWCs, etc. The consultant will also assist
Health Officer (M&E) in ensuring paperless monitoring systems
by replacing paper based monitoring systems with mobile or
web-based monitoring systems. In addition, the consultant will
also assist in data analysis and preparation of factsheets and
reports. The consultant will maintain and update the
dashboards/websites for sharing large amount of

• Update following databases regularly within
stipulated timelines and share the updated data with Health
Officer (M&E) regularly:
• Prepare and maintain Polio
dashboard, IEC and round presentation after each Polio round.
Create online reporting to replace existing Form A and prepare
SMNet monthly reports.
• Compile monitoring report during
special campaigns- such as Dastak Abhiyan.
• Maintain VHND
monitoring tool and review monthly data.
• Maintain LaQshya
online MIS and mobile app, generate scoresheets, status of
facilities assessed monitor wise/ district wise, action plan
updated and maintained on real time basis.
• Maintain IAPPD
dashboard and compile ORS and Zinc stock position report.
Maintain Low Birth Weight tracking tool.
• Support in
preparation and maintaining of tools/mechanisms on HBYC
Training field team on data analysis.
troubleshooting of URCHMIS, data collection tools and reporting
mechanism by field/district/regional level and share
recommendation/action plan with supervisor on need basis.
Any other task assigned by supervisor.
sought for the contractor/consultant:
• Diploma in
Statistics, Computer Application, Demography or Mathematics.
At least five years of professional experience in managing large
database and MIS
• Proficient in using MS Office (MS
Access, Excel, and Word).
• Working knowledge of
statistical packages such as SPSS and Stata are an asset.
Strong written & oral English and Hindi communication skills
and ability to make effective presentations
