Location : Delhi/ State Capital (India)

His lessons learned guide the Foundation to engage children and young people as part of the solution, build greater collaboration between governments, business and communities, ensure effective national and international laws, scale know-how and successful practice and create partnerships with key stakeholders.

 

Position Overview

 

This position supports the international project on Child Protection in India.The Grants Administrator is responsible for coordinating the development, administrative management and reporting of grants.In the conduct responsibilities, the Grant Administrator must ensure that the work is carried in accordance with organisation standards, policies and procedure.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of the Grants Administrator, maintain relationships with grantees and undertake qualitative and quantitative assessments on grant proposal development, ensuring the process is participatory, collaborative and credible with project stakeholders and ecosystem

  • Reports that the grant proposal focus areas are relevant and high priority and stays informed on other institutions active in the proposed areas to avoid overlap of project implementation activities and areas.

  • Supports the grant administrator in assessing the grant readiness criteria as applied on recipient institution and follows up on the negotiated fulfillment of readiness

  • Provides accompaniment to various missions that are undertaken in the course of the Project Appraisal Document preparation.

  • Assists in preparation of grant agreements. Negotiates revisions to application and explains needed corrections to grantees to bring applications into compliance with program guidelines.

  • Shares necessary information for entry into financial system and obligation of funds.

  • Reporting periodically on implementation of program, clarifying on grant management policies and procedures.

  • Assist in reviewing and evaluating grant proposals.

  • Assist in undertaking post-award activities that include monitoring, technical oversight, and close-out.

  • Assistance in reviews of grant applications and amendments and toward approval or disapproval of funding

  • Help in analyzing qualitative and quantitative data collected, and developing periodic reports for various development partners

  • Write reports, articles and make presentations with suitable use of graphics

  • Work collaboratively with team members, sub-contractors, and grantees across multiple states and time zones

  • Help in organizing conferences and workshops

  • Any other related tasks, as required from time to time

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Master’s in Economics or Social Sciences from top schools

  • Professional work experience (minimum 3-5 years, excluding internships) at a development/ management institution, philanthropy, research institute/ public policy think tank or bilateral/ multilateral agency

  • Demonstrated skills in quantitative and qualitative research methods

  • Excellent writing and presentation skills is a core requirement of the position. Must be able to express ideas effectively in a clear and concise manner. Prior experience of writing reports, creating client presentations and publishing research papers is a strong plus

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis softwares, such as R and STATA, is a plus

  • Entrepreneurial attitude to handle challenging tasks, deal with ambiguity and shoulder responsibility

  • Logical thinking and strong analytical abilities

  • Ability to work with multicultural teams and to perform under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Attention to detail and good time management

  • Willingness to travel for project work
