(Location – Delhi)


CanKids…Kidscan, is a not for profit organization dedicated to Change for Childhood Cancer in India. It enables one of the best standards in of treatment care and support for children with cancer and their families. Presently, Cankids is working in 121 cancer centers in 51 cities and 22 states across the country providing holistic care and support to children with the vision to achieve global survival rates of 70-95% survival rates and ensuring high quality of life (QOL) for child cancer patients, families and survivors.

CanKids is seeking to engage the Head – HR & Learning & Development to be based at its head office in New Delhi – with an overall responsibility for leading the human resources planning/management/learning & development across the organization.

The Head – HR & Learning & Development position will report to the CEO


Key Duties and Responsibilities shall include:

HR and Learning &Development Function:

1. Aligning the HR strategy to CanKids mission & vision and providing leadership for HR function including for learning and development
2. Design overall framework, process flow and policy for the HR and Learning & Development functions.
3. Designing and implementing Human Resource strategy for employees and volunteers including Parents and Survivor members, talent acquisition & management, induction, discipline, grievance handling, counseling, staff contracts, policy and statutory compliances,
4. Lead & Manage the PMS (Performance Management System-including Balance Score Card/KPIs/OKR)
5. Develop and implement comprehensive , competitive and cost-effective -compensation & benefits plans
6. Developing and implementing OD strategies including reward and recognition system
7. Conceptualizing innovative and flexible methods to address the developmental and capacity building needs identified, including identification of external training programs and conferences, the design and delivery of in-house training sessions, enrolment in online learning programs, mentoring, self-learning, and other methods as appropriate
8. Managing employee relations, conflict resolution, employee welfare services and counseling; also managing the grievance system and disciplinary proceedings;
9. Ensuring smooth implementation of HR related MIS & Record system , Automated Pay-roll system and HR Division’s Budget
10. Any reasonable linked/related work items that may be assigned/expected.



A Post Graduate degree/ MBA or MA/MS in Human resources, L&D or related field preferred.


The candidate is expected to be passionate HR professional while demonstrated successfully about building great teams, minimum 15+ years of experience in nurturing talent and human capital in growth oriented organizations and a minimum 5 years in leadership role as GM-HR/VP-HR/Head-HR and preference working in NGO sector will be added advantage

• Willingness to travel (about 20% of time)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Computer proficiency suiting the job-requirement.

Compensation offered will be commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
