REPORTS TO: Human Resources Manager- Payroll, Compliance & Internal Controls


TRAVEL: 40% to 50% to all hub and field locations

This position is responsible to support payroll management and compliance ensuring data in HRMS being updated and ready for smooth payroll process. Will ensure accuracy of data and timeliness of compliances implementation and statutory payments

-Support HR Manager- Payroll, compliance & Internal Controls. in smooth execution of payroll process (e.g. salaries, benefits, payroll compliances, deductions, through Finance & third-party vendor)
-Coordinate & review PAR and payroll systems through HRMS
-Review payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, raises. Exits, loss of pay, etc) and system upgrades
-Support HR Manager – Payroll, Compliance & IC ensuring all payroll related compliances are in line with relevant laws and internal policy adherence
-Support HR Manager- PR, Compliance & IC in ensuring all compliances are updated and timely payments of statutory challans
-Maintain accurate records and prepare reports (periodic/ monthly MIS)
-Review procedures, reports etc. periodically with HR Manager - PR to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues
- Work Closely with HR Manager – PR, Compliance & IC in maintaining Internal controls and risk mitigation
-Work closely with HR Manager – PR, Compliance & IC ensuring completeness of HR Audits

-CARE India internal stakeholder including staff members
-Finance team
-Payroll Vendor

-Bachelor’s OR Master’s degree with 2-3 years’ experience in payroll management HRMS, MIS & HR Audits and strong working knowledge of payroll statutory compliance.
-Experience of HR payroll administration and applicable compliances
-Development sector experience is preferred


-Excellent knowledge of excel
-Keen eye of detail, analytical mind and methodical mind set
-High on Integrity and work ethics
-Timeliness on all deliverables including submission of reports/ challans
-Good interpersonal skills
-Excellent communication skills to be able to communicate both with internal and external stakeholder
-Ability and willingness to support staff at all times related to payroll or compliance queries
-Excellent team player
