About SAATHII:Solidarity and Action Against The HIV Infection in India (SAATHII), a registered non-profit organization, envisions universal access to rights, health, legal and social services for communities marginalised on account of HIV status, gender and/or sexuality. Headquartered in Chennai, it has nine branch offices at Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Imphal, Jaipur, Ranchi, and Nagpur and Mumbai, and will be establishing office in Assam shortly.

About the project: SAATHII, as a development partner of the Central TB Division, is establishing the State Technical Support Unit (STSU)in Assam for providing strategic support to the State TB Cell to manage large scale private sector engagement, strategic purchasing and effective contracts management, Direct Benefit Transfer, multi-sectoral collaborations, etc. . This project aims to enhance the quality and coverage of TB control interventions in both private and public sector.


SAATHII is currently seeking anInter Sectoral Engagement Expert for STSU, Guwahati, Assam to facilitates inter sectoral coordination and resource mobilization, and documentation and dissemination of learnings to stakeholders.


1. Provide technical support to State TB Cell for development of evidence-based policies, guidelines, and schemes on multi-sectoral engagement for TB elimination.
2. Promote the use of the Standards for TB Care in India (STCI) and assist in the development of additional tools and enablers for effective implementation of STCI in health care settings under different Ministries.
3. Facilitate the close coordination of State TB Cell with different Ministries and corporate sectors outside the health department.
4. Provide technical assistance for developing training materials for capacity building of staff and officers in the different Ministries.
5. Provide technical assistance to State Tb Cell in supervision, monitoring and evaluation of projects with and through corporate sector for TB elimination.
6. Capacity building of state programme managers and PPM coordinators, preparing, implementing projects and resource mobilization through Corporate Sector Responsibilities.
7. Provide technical support, oversight, and monitoring of financial management of resources available from corporate sector or other stakeholders.
8. Coordinate with partnering agencies and organizations involved in corporate sector engagement and inter-Ministerial collaboration.
9. Provide a monthly report and an end-of-assignment report in the prescribed formats on activities, achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
10. Perform other duties as required by State TB Cell in the interests of the programme.


1. Post Graduate Degree in Community Medicine/ Preventive & Social Medicine/ Community Health Administration/ Public Health/PGDHM (2 Yrs Full Time-AICTE approved) / Business Management/ Life Sciences/ Social Sciences, or related subject, from a recognized university/ Institute.
2. Experience:
a. A minimum of 5 years of experience in public health programmes/ projects
b. Prior experience of enabling Public Private Partnerships with government public health programmes, in coordination with MoHFW, and/or State Health Departments, is essential
3. Skills and Competencies:
a. Proven ability to communicate clearly.
b. Ability to work effectively in a team.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, and working knowledge of local language
5. Willingness to be based in Guwahati and travel extensively (12-15 days/month) as per the requirement of the project.
6. Sound computer skills, including use of Internet, MS Office™ software, and data analytics
7. Ability to work independently and as a team player in a complex, multicultural environment

Indicative Salary : Rs 90K /month and the salary will be decided based on the last drawn salary as per the organisation policy.
