Position Information:

Job Position : Lead - IT

Reports to : Administrator

Location : CI Head Office, New Delhi

Appointment : On contractual basis for 1 year (renewable on yearly basis subject to performance)

Primary Role of the position:

To lead Caritas India’s IT function by providing and ensuring direct support to Caritas India internal staff IT requirements besides facilitating IT related processes for IT infrastructure development, maintenance, upgradation. Also to facilitate the process of strengthening IT system as per organizational needs. To support in the formulation and implementation of organizational IT policy and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

The key areas of responsibilities will be the following; same being indicative and not exhaustive:

• Troubleshooting and review / maintenance of hardware equipment / software applications
• Installation /de-installation of hardware equipment.
• Diagnose and facilitate the repair of non-warranty equipment.
• Manage the Exchange Server/backup Server/Web Server Administration
• Deployment of Operating Systems & Applications
• Maintain hardware and software inventory i.e. accountability towards the physical equipment/media.
• Protection / security of organizational data
• Support in the Procurement of IT related equipment; facilitates in Inventory Management of equipment besides documentation of vendor activities
• Organization of training of internal staff on building IT skills
• Facilitation in maintenance of server room as per guide by the Reporting Officer; related to Network switches, deployments, reconfigurations, rewiring, etc.
• To perform any other duties assigned by the Reporting Officer or designate as per organizational need in the interest of the Organization

Qualification / Work Experience :

Relevant Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Computer Applications with 5 - 7 plus years of professional experience in organizations in similar role

Knowledge / Skills
• Knowledge of current trends and developments in information technology
• Ability to develop requests for and evaluate proposals in reference to current information services technology
• Ability to provide support in the assessment of existing and/or proposed systems
• Possess good communication skills in English & or Hindi
• Effective problem-solving skills, proactive
• Team player
• Self-motivated and able to work within timelines
• Good documentation skills
• Ability to transfer knowledge through formal and informal trainings
• Maintain confidentiality of work
