People to People India is looking for Manager - Training and
Capacity Building (1), (public health specialist) for its
Maternal, Newborn, Child Health & Nutrition (MNCHN) project at
Each position - Manager - Training and
Capacity Building, will report to their Project Team Leader and
collaborate and manage all training activities across the projects
in India in coordination with the district Health Office and
Primary Health Centres. The role requires both management
capability as well as excellent communication and time-management
skills, capacity to plan & manage the pool of trainers and
willingness to travel extensively in the project district. The
role supports, reinforces, and leads various processes to ensure
high quality training and capacity building among trainers as well
trainees for the Govt Health Service Providers.
• Contribute to overall vision
related to training and capacity development of Community Health
Workers in the operational districts.
• Identify training
needs of community health services providers (on technical aspects
of MNCHN and day to day operations
• Develop training
modules for ANM, ASHA and AWW on MNCHN training and develop
• Identify qualified/experienced
• Coordinate with PHC and CHMO for organizing
training for the CHWs
• Organise/procure open source
digital content for the ANM and ASHA
• Explore android
based safe motherhood apps for the field level use and training.
• Supervise team of field trainers and field level
mentoring of CHWs
• Organise Training/sensitisation of
• Outcome assessment of training,
Conduct performance evaluations
• Meet and communicate
regularly with trainers in order to monitor their performance,
provide feedback and goals, listen, collaborate, and troubleshoot
challenges during field visits.

Required Qualifications and experience:
Masters degree in Social Science or Public Health other fields

• The incumbent should minimum 5
years professional experience and/ or relevant qualification on
public health. Preference to Female candidates.
Experience on developing/designing / conducting training of Health
service providers on MNCHN will be given preference.

experience using excellent communication and task management
