Job Description

The position will be responsible for providing PR and brand Marketing direction and solutions for Coca Cola in the INSWA region aligning with the corporate brand and strategy. The incumbent will create and drive external communication strategies with specific focus on marketing, brand/ reputation management, media relations  as well as PR event planning and global coordination.  The role will hence be responsible for coordinating with internal, external and global  stakeholders, to achieve company goals. Develop strategic communication plans, provide media training and guidance to associates and the operating unit leadership team.  Would manage social and digital campaigns, in addition to the company’s owned digital platforms. Additionally, have clear measures of success and monitor progress of each campaign.

This will require trendy intelligence, content creation capabilities based on deep knowledge and understanding of business and brand strategy. The newly expanded job is required to lead communication excellence in both efficiency and innovation leveraging digitization across company/brand communications. The incumbent must be familiar with major business, sports, beat media in the region and possess the ability to develop and nurture relationships with these media as required. This position will play a critical role in creating communication synergy through integration between traditional, new age, social, and digital media channels.

Job Responsibilities

External/Media/Marketing/ Crisis Communications

  • Amplify core creative ideas for consumer-centric portfolio with insightful knowledge of consumer trend and media landscape

  • Analyze market opportunities and consumer insights to identify media opportunities and creative story-telling forums/leads

  • Develop PR strategies and programs for brand/marketing, DE&I, HR, and Corporate campaigns in line with IMC process from the beginning stage

  • Engage influencers as brand ambassadors and advocates to propel positive word-of-mouth on our products in both traditional & social media space

  • Develop, implement and measure the corporate editorial calendar for all owned external channels.

  • Ensure effective system communications including corporate strategy, quarterly financials, CSR, sustainability, DE&I, HR, and stakeholder success stories.

  • Share best practices of brand communication activities across OUs

  • Develop and implement marketing and communications campaigns and strategies and monitor their success

  • Work closely with the marketing and HR departments and broader organization to ensure message alignment and integration across multiple topics and channels of Corporate Communication

  • Media management and communications around Issues & Crisis Management

  • Develop and maintain relations with key mainline and trade media and ensure company spokespersons are appropriately media trained

Social Media/Digital communication

  • Ensure digital and social media work is done in partnership with marketing and industry-specific social media channel owners to deliver on global business initiatives.

  • Develop signature social and digital communications for effective communications

  • Drive social media strategy and create robust content calendar for all social media channels and effectively measure their success by delivering on KPI’s.

  • Drive communication innovations through traditional media, owned digital platform, and social media and strengthen positivity towards Company and brands.

  • Responsible for visual communications (graphic design) and multiple social and digital channels – publishing content, reporting results and maintaining an engaged network of followers

Education Qualification/ Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years in a Communications or similar role

  • Business writing skills

  • Editing and Proofing: Strong editorial skills in both print and digital, and experience commissioning content. Ability to prepare materials for the media and other audiences by selecting, revising, and correcting copy elements.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Communications implementation & execution – knowledge of procedures and information for implementing public relations

  • Speaking and presentation skills

  • Event Coordination: The ability to create and coordinate the materials and logistics necessary to plan for and execute the tasks needed to create a successful visit, meeting or event.

  • Experience working with, influencing and coordinating cross-functional teams.
