Position: Manager – Programs

Location: Hyderabad

Experience: A male candidate with post-graduation in social work or sociology or similar disciplines, and minimum 12 years of Community Development, WASH and Sustainability experience with sound managerial, leadership and communication skills will be ideal. He will be responsible for the present operations in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, and evolve the same in new geographies.

Purpose: To lead the core functions of the organisation and achieve the short and long term objectives in order to fulfil the mission of Living Water India (LWI).

Reports to: Country Director

Duties & Responsibilities
1) Responsible for the core functions of LWI viz. WASH, Community Development,
Sustainability and Monitoring & Evaluation.
2) Maintain a work culture that ensures professionalism, performance, learning and a
safe environment.
3) Organize programs and projects in accordance with the mission and goals of LWI.
4) Develop new geographies and programs to support the strategic direction of LWI.
5) Create and manage short and long-term goals.
6) Develop a budget and operating plan for programs and projects.
7) Develop an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for
8) Establish robust policies, systems, processes and procedures where ever required.
9) Review and create effective formats and templates for efficient functioning of
systems and processes.
10) Ensure perfect Program documentation viz. proposals, status reports, completion
reports, donor reports etc.
11) Build capacity of the team constantly both functionally and non-functionally.
12) Lead and manage by motivating the team to remain optimistic even when faced with
challenges and encourage good performance and values.
13) Allocate resources and supplies to ensure team can complete their responsibilities to
their highest potential.
14) Ensure that all implemented activities are relevant to the mission and vision of the
