 “Children” is a humanitarian organization working towards fulfilling the educational and health needs of vulnerable children from Delhi. We believe that investing in children and youth and empowering them to be agents of change in their communities, is the single best answer to breaking generational poverty.


Supported by Children International, we are currently working with around 10000 children (5000 families) from vulnerable communities in Shahbad Dairy and Bawana resettlement colonies in and around North Delhi to help them break the cycle of poverty through a range of program interventions. Presently, there is pandemic situation in the world all around. Our primary programs to cater to 2021 goals and expectations focusses on connecting with families, access to health services when needed, access to education and continuous learning, emotional well-being program, economic assistance. This holistic approach — delivered through 2 community centers, one each in the afore mentioned locations mentioned, and a passionate, high-performing team —it aims at delivering impact that lasts.

The Program Accountability and Impact Lead is responsible for developing and implementing tools and strategies to track and enhance accountability and impact of the programs being run in the communities.


Title: Program Accountability and Impact Lead

Location: Delhi, India


Reports to: Programs Manager

Contract type: One Year Fixed Term Contract.

Key working relationships:  All Departments and Community Centers. 




  • Proactively identify key program and theme areas. Help clarify program information needs for each of the programs and work in collaboration with Program and Community Centre leads to develop relevant accountability, performance and impact/outcome indicators.

  • Design, develop, test, or updateaccountability/results frameworks and logical frameworks and procedures for different program activities as well as monitoring and evaluation data collection tools

  • Carry out regular field visits to ensure program quality.

  • Collaborate with agency IT department and headquarters development and administering of databases and electronic monitoring and evaluation tools and ensure timely feedback and resolution of issues.

  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the rationale, purpose and scope of monitoring, evaluation and learning and aligns these programs with global best practices; ensure contextualization to the agencies core program interventions and overall program strategic framework.

  • Identify training needs and opportunities for increasing the program team’s knowledge of program accountability and impact protocols and practice. Build capacity of other program colleagues to ensure templates designed are appropriately implemented and data against program indicators is captured accurately.

  • Facilitate design, coordination and implementation of large-scale field research interventions such as baselines, end line, longitudinal, project evaluations and comparative surveys

  • Collaborate closely with program manager in reviews of annual program monitoring and evaluation plans, materials and documentation of program reports, presentations etc. Support in assessing consistency, reliability, timeliness and quality of information collated.

  • Work closely with Program and community centre teams and drive timely submission BTS, mid-year, end year reports and other reports required by agency, is in line accordance with agency prescribed templates, systems, policies and other requirements to support informed decision making.  

  • Design program monitoring, evaluation and reporting systems as well as provide technical input for the development of Evaluation modules

  • Provided technical inputs and support to the Program Manager and Program/Community Centre Leads on program accountability and impact procedures within new program proposals and possible grant opportunities.

Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel within and outside the state and country as per organisation and program needs.


Work Location: To work from community centre (Shahbad Daulatpur/Bawana).

D. Desired Qualification, skills and experience

  • University degree in related field.

  • Three years relevant experience

  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects at one time, and take on new projects as assigned.

  • Preferred experience in social sector program evaluation.

  • Strong understanding of social and development programming relevant to the areas in which CI works and willingness to learn

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications; specifically a good working knowledge of Excel for administrative purposes and for management of analysis of quantitative data (including creation of graphics and tables). Data analysis capabilities.

  • Proficiency in the use of analytical softwares like SPSS or STATA preferred or willingness and proven ability to learn data analysis systems.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Understanding of results framework and logical models preferred.

  • Ability to teach, support and train others in their understanding of M&E and new use of M&E systems.

  • Close attention to detail to assure consistency, reliability, timeliness and quality of data.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in English (strong verbal and written communication skills)
