We are looking to onboard a results driven individual to lead the SLM Program’s Gender and SRHR mandate and to provide end-to-end support to the Head of Programs in program design and implementation.

Our cross-cutting theme of Gender and SRHR needs sensitivity around inclusion, a rights-based perspective that understands power equations at the community level, a systems thinking worldview that can see structural difference and notice intersections between different work areas and the ability to talk to all genders with empathy, putting themselves in the shoes of the other and contextualizing experiences and yet, set boundaries with the community to ensure work happens uninterrupted.

Partnership and Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure due diligence for potential partnerships and continue engagement with existing partners through budget reviews and grant reporting mechanisms

  • Build and sustain effective engagement with the Knowledge and Implementation Partners, diverse stakeholder groups including local rural community, Panchayat level officials, Block and District Officials especially working on Health and allied services

  • Establish partnerships with other expert organizations working in field of Gender and SRHR

Research, Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Lead all primary and secondary research needed during program design, strategy and implementation phases

  • Lead continuous gathering of data, analysis and feedback from the ground to improve the program design

  • Ensure that annual action plans are in line with agreed upon M&E indicators

Integration across Sustainable Landscape Management Program

  • Ensure integration of Gender and SRHR perspectives into other development programs- water security, sustainable livelihoods, institutions and governance, ecological conservation, and mental health

  • Lead effective planning and risk mitigation frameworks for all program and ‘integrated approach’ related challenges

Candidate Profile:

  • Masters (or an equivalent degree) in social work, gender studies, humanities, or public health

  • Minimum 8 years of work experience and proven abilities in design and implementation of gender and SRHR related programs

  • Strong thematic understanding of gender and SRHR

  • Expertise in program design methodology and techniques pertaining to large scale Gender and SRHR projects

  • Practical and hands-on experience of working on development projects with a focus on marginalised populations and bringing in an intersectional, rights-based perspective

  • Demonstrated ability to provide intellectual leadership in partnerships and resource mobilization

  • Data and Budget management skills, including data collection, budget preparation, analysis, decision- making and reporting

  • Strong primary and secondary research skills
