About the Project

IPE CKD will be implementing a new and exciting three-year research project in 5 tribal districts of Jharkhand with an objective to improve access to nutrition in tribal communities. The objective is to build evidence on the role of social accountability in improving nutrition services to tribal women and children. The project will closely work with relevant stakeholders in the State to improve the uptake and access of services under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY).

Skill Set and Job Description
The programme coordinator will coordinate day-day operations on the research and oversee the financial, administrative management and staff development functions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management
-Manage programme budgets, facilitate budget approvals and transparent financial management in line with IPECKD policies and procedures.
-Responsible for financial reporting in line with requirements internally and of the donor.
-Contracting and Compliance
-Lead in preparing SoPs for finance, administration, procurement and human resource functions of the research to ensure compliance of IPECKD policies.
-Support the grant compliance officer to ensure that the research is compliant with all external regulations.

Programme Management
-Undertake day-day management of the programme and create workflows, plans and reports towards the achievement of outputs.
-Organise regular project reviews and manage project deliverables and grant requests to funders.
-Support in risk management and coordinate internal communications.
-Support an environment of learning and development of project staff.

Qualification & Experience Requirements
-5-10 year’s proven experience in project and team management as part of the development sector.
-Knowledge of financial resource management and general administration.
-Proven ability to manage budgets and conduct financial and cost-effectiveness analysis.
-Ability to implement systems for staff well-being.
-Good presentation and report writing skills.
-Knowledge of IPE’s procedures is an advantage.
-Bachelor’s degree in business administration/ public administration or any other related field.
