Sabuj Sangha is a non-government development organization committed to improving the lives of less fortunate people in West Bengal through participation and empowerment. The organisation was established in 1975 and registered under West Bengal Societies Registration Act 1961. Our operational area encompasses the Sundarbans (South & North 24 Parganas), Kolkata, East Medinipurand Alipurduar District of West Bengal, India.

Sabuj Sangha believes in an integrated and sustainable development with a holistic approach. The organisation focuses on the following five thematic areas, while implementing rural development programmes:

Job description:

• Overall management and implementation of project;
• Coordination and supervision of project activities to ensure that the objectives are met timely and cost-effective manner;
• Supervision and capacity building of team members;
• Organize and coordinate project activities, meetings and workshops;
• Support and participate in training of team members;
• Ensure project activities are implemented and milestones are achieved according to schedule;
• Developing different survey formats as per the project / programme need
• Data management and analysis
• Enhancing network of all concerned stakeholders
• Advocacy to different stakeholders/govt. officials
• Extensive field visit as per project need
• Effective and accurate report project status and relevant project information to Director.
• Conducting study/Research with the help of external agency/consultant
• Report the activities and financial progress as per the agreed schedule or requirements
• Plan monthly and quarterly targets and ensure their delivery through team
• Process Documentation
• Undertake administrative duties, develop and maintain project schedules,
assign tasks to team members, compile summaries and report writing.
• Any other work as per the need of the Organisation
• Preparation of monthly updates and reports
• Undertake intensive and regular field visits to different block and district of West Bengal to supervise project implementation
• Conduct periodic review meetings with the team to ensure delivery is as per schedule
• Lead, manage and motivate the team, creating an environment that enables staff to maximise their potential and facilitates high performing team
• Any other work as per the need of the Organisation

Stakeholder Management:

• Map all the stakeholders and design Health stakeholder engagement strategy
• Maintain excellent working relations with the PRI’s, Govt. line dept. officials and other key stakeholders
• Conduct periodic review meetings with the teams working/supporting the project

Qualification & Experience:

• Graduate / Postgraduate Degree in any Social Sciences / any other discipline
• At least 2-3 years’ experience in relevant work in NGO Sector
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English, Hindi & Bengali

Salary: Commensurate with qualification & experience
