About the Programs:

SMF has been creating and implementing meaningful, impact-centric interventions and state-wide platforms for school systems. Various state governments have deeply engaged with us in the domains of School Assessment and Accreditation, Values-based Education and Life Skills, Civic Engagement, Early Childhood Education using the MLE approach and Adolescent Girls’ Empowerment.

• To coordinate with the program design team for designing a program to address the identified needs in line with the approved strategic goals.
• To facilitate effective and efficient implementation of the program to garner maximum impact.
• To monitor the implementation of the program to ensure that the qualitative and quantitative objectives of the program are met in a timely manner.


1. Core Activities

1.1 Build Partnerships with State Government Stakeholders
• Develop and manage relationships with key senior public officials, influencers and policy makers at the state levels and track state team initiatives at the state level
• Support the State Government and members of the SCERT to design, implement, monitor and track the initiatives planned
• Manage day to day operations and liaise with the state to ensure the required buyin, inputs, permissions and resources are made available
1.2. Build systemic and sustainable processes within the program implementation framework.
1.3. Deploy new plans approved by the Management Committee.
1.4. Ensure availability, timely deployment and effective utilization of resources (human resource, finance, etc).

2. Supervision and feedback
2.1. Oversee implementation of the program to ensure that the same is on course.
2.2. Regularly evaluate implementation activities to research and feed learnings into program design, if required.
2.3. Provide feedback to the management on periodic progress (including key developments/issues) made against agreed objectives and targets.

3. Team Management
3.1. Provide effective mentoring to reportees to develop their skills and capabilities.
3.2. Undertake periodic progress meetings and bi-annual appraisals meetings.
3.3. Develop strong and effective internal relationships with colleagues in all teams, through appropriate communications, cross team working and networking at all levels.
3.4. Develop synergies between Program Design Heads / Leads and operating teams.

4. Other
4.1. Liaise and develop cordial relationship/network with government and other stakeholders.
4.2. Any other work assigned by the Reporting Manager/higher authorities.
4.3. Act as a branch ambassador of the SMF and ensure compliance with the MOU.

-Ability to speak, read, write the local language/s
-8-10 years of experience in program implementation across states
-Minimum 5 years field experience in the sector
-Experience of providing detailed reports and updates
-Successful track record of achieving targets

Post graduate degree in the concerned field or possess a relevant qualification or experience in a directly related post

Willingness to relocate to project states
Able to work occasional extended hours and weekend as required
