About the Organization:
National Institute of Malaria Research (NIMR) was established as ‘Malaria Research Centre’, which was renamed as ‘National Institute of Malaria Research’ in November 2005. NIMR is one of the institutes of the Indian Council of Medical Research. The primary task of the Institute is to find short term as well as long term solutions to the problems of malaria through basic, applied and operational field research. NIMR has a network of well-developed laboratories at Delhi carrying out research on most aspects of malaria along with 10 field units in malarious areas, which serve as testing ground for new technologies and help in the transfer of technologies.
Pre-treatment procedures of isolation of DNA using automatic nucleic acid extractor along with other jobs as assigned by the PI.
Qualifications and experience:
Graduate in science / relevant subjects from a recognized University + three years’ work experience from a recognized institute OR
Master’s degree in Life Science
Qualified National Eligibility Tests or National level examinations conducted by Government of India.
One year or more of hands-on demonstrable experience in molecular biology (DNA/RNA isolation, PCR primer designing).
