Job title: Project Coordinator – Education & WASH

Department: Program Implementation

Location: Haridwar, Uttarakhand

Grade: C

Level Of Contact With Children: 2 (sporadic direct interaction with children)
The position holder shall be responsible to adhere & work within the ambit of Plan India’s Child Protection & Gender Equality Policies.

Travel Requirement : upto 60% of time

SUMMARY OF THE OVERALL JOB
To ensure Quality Education and WASH in Government Primary schools in Khanpur Block of Haridwar District, Uttarakhand. Project Coordinator will support in planning monitoring & implementation of Model school Project activities in Haridwar. She / he will work in close coordination with State and National team as well as technical advisors from time to time to strengthen capacities of implementing partners through constructive partnership to ensure desired results are achieved in stipulated time.

KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
• To support implementing partner to ensure effective delivery of the project components;
• To develop project implementation plan, monitoring & reporting mechanism in consultation with the local partner.
• Identify the needs and facilitate workshops for building capacity of the project team and relevant stakeholders.
• Develop IEC, manuals, guiles as necessary, in consultation with Plan partners and relevant government agencies
• Build/strengthen through leadership state/district level network/pressure group for knowledge sharing, public opinion and advocacy;
• Build and strengthen effective participation of the community in project implementation towards achievement of the objectives
• Build and strengthen effective working relationships with key government departments and agencies
• Coordinate and facilitate donor visits / visits of other stake holders within and our side of Plan India team to Project Areas.
• Conduct workshops for building capacity of the project team and relevant stakeholders including DIETs, DEEO, BEEOs, RPs, MTs & teachers.
• Build and strengthen effective working relationships with key district level government departments and agencies particularly with SSA, Education Department, RAMSA, WCD, Social Welfare and PRI structures;
• Prepare monthly and quarterly narrative and financial report timely and share with National team to share it with Donor.
• Interface of Plan India between Donor and implementation team.
• Promote cost-effective approaches to maximize resources;
• Ensure CPP compliance during the programme implementation;
• Ensure statutory requirements are adhered;
• Contribute in developing and conducting research & studies;
• Undertake appropriate additional responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
-Post Graduate in Development Management
-4-6 years of relevant experience
