Do you wish to work for a UN Agency focusing on migration and would like to make a meaningful contribution to the Resettlement Support Center for United States Refugee Admissions Program? Then do explore this unique opportunity. You need to have an interest and ability in taking initiative and work under pressure with minimum supervision, providing quality counselling services to clients, multi-stakeholder coordination and delivering results in a complex environment.


IOM India is in search for a qualified, committed, and enthusiastic professional to be a part of an exciting initiative with the Resettlement Support Center (RSC) which provides critical support and processing services for migrants for resettlement to the US under the United States Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP).


You are expected to fulfil the following requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field supplemented by related courses will be advantage, with three years of relevant professional experience.

  • Completed Diploma/Secondary school, Certificate in related fields, with five years of relevant professional experience.

Experience and Skills:

  • Ability to use own initiative and work under pressure with minimum supervision

  • Experience working in humanitarian sector especially with refugees, migrants or IDPs.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written

  • Strong ability to provide counselling services to clients

  • Attention to details and ability to organize

  • Self-motivated and objective driven

  • Delivers on set objectives in hardship situations

  • Be ready, willing, and able to travel on temporary duties on short notices outside of duty station if/when required

  • Excellent computer skills - Word, Excel, online applications, and email Internet


  • Thorough knowledge of English, Hindi and/or other reginal languages

  • Languages spoken by refugees/migrant communities in India such as Dari, Pashto, Somali, Burmese, etc. would be an advantage.
