Solutions for Sustainable Development
The Project has a Goal of Promoting 200 women
entrepreneurs to take up entrepreneurship opportunities by
building their capacities through Self Employment and
Entrepreneurship Development Centres.

project. PO-ED will support the achievement of the project goal of

development and collectivization strategy for the project. PO-EIG
will implement the same strategy on the ground for accomplishing
the goal of the project. PO-EIG will ensure that Gender strategy
is included in all aspects of programming in coordination with
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carry out specific studies in line with
existing and potential enterprise enhancement opportunities and
market linkages as well as SHGs and their status
Gender studies and assessments in coordination with colleagues
Map key stakeholders and develop engagement strategy.
• Develop partnerships with Government/private
sector/technical institutions on various aspects like capacity
building of various stakeholders (community cadre, entrepreneurs),
market support, technical assistance, technology support,
enterprise management etc.
• Work with Technical Support
Agencies to meet project objectives
• Create a strong
linkage and networking with all the relevant stakeholders and
build partnership to effectively implement the project.
Coordinate with government departments including TN rural
livelihood missions, Yes Centres, NYKS and NSS for convergence and

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in social work/Social Science/Development
• Minimum five years of proven work experience in
Enterprise Development programs, job placements and Livelihood
• Demonstrated experience in design and
development of capacity building methods and tools, related to
skill development and employment.
• Experience of working
with SHGs for economic development is desired
Experience of working in a large project and as part of a diverse
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
of the social, economic and political context and status of Urban
Poor (esp. women) in India
• Proven skills in enterprise
development and institutional networking
• Strong training
and communication skills
• Documentation and reporting
• Fluency in Tamil and English is essential
Proficiency in the use of Windows packages- Word, Excel,
