Research and Design Expert
SEEDS is a not for profit organisation that helps make communities resilient through comprehensive interventions in the areas of disaster readiness, response and rehabilitation. Since 1994, the organisation has worked extensively on every major disaster in the Indian subcontinent, integrating locally?based approaches to build the long?term resilience of the communities it serves. As SEEDS looks at completing 27 years of outstanding service to humanity, it is re?anchoring its approach to building resilience through innovation.
To provide research, design and documentation support in planning, material development and implementation of deliverables for Sunny Lives (Phase 2) project.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The Sunny Lives (Phase 2) project aims to change the way neighbourhoods use disaster related information to take decisions and to act for avoiding loss of lives and assets. Information about their inherent vulnerabilities will be available with very specific context of their region and surroundings. Disaster alerts and warnings will be in forms that will tell them exactly what is expected in their current location and when, and what immediate action they should take. The Project will be able to demonstrate with evidence, how better information can save lives and property, and change mindsets.
Qualification and requirements:
Willing to travel locally up to 30% of the time
