Position: Research Lead – Health Economics and Outcomes

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • DEVELOP EVIDENCE PLANS: Partner with cross-functional business stakeholders (product leaders, marketing) to help develop and support plans for evidence generation and value communication. Coordinate multiple projects for business teams in order to demonstrate the value of GE Healthcare products across different care areas / segments / regions.

  • GENERATE EVIDENCE: Design and execute health economic and outcomes research studies. Identify and manage external contractors undertaking HEOR studies on behalf of GE Healthcare. Where appropriate, undertake in-house studies and related activities such as literature reviews and modelling.

  • INTERPRET AND COMMUNICATE RESULTS: Effectively communicate evidence plans and study results undertaken by GE Healthcare and by other organizations to internal and external audiences. Develop tools for marketing and field-based teams globally to demonstrate / communicate product value. Where appropriate, present research findings at professional congresses and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Masters degree in Science, Health Economics, Business, Marketing, or related field / relevant science degree (e.g. health services research, statistics, economics, or epidemiology).

  • 8+ Years experience in healthcare (pharmaceutical/medical technology) industry or research organization / consultancy.

  • Experience conducting research to evaluate the impact of new medical technologies on users.

  • Excellent project management skills with strong orientation to detail.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good analytical, problem-solving and research skills.

  • Ability to organize own work without continuous direct supervision and comfortable working with a virtual team.

  • Team oriented: collaborative working style and ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary, virtual teams.
