Position: Researcher, Energy Infrastructure & Finance
Climate Risk Horizons is looking for a researcher to assist with data gathering and analysis of India’s energy transition and climate-induced financial risks. We are looking for someone with a keen interest in putting their skills to use in understanding and helping create solutions to the challenge climate change poses to the Indian energy system.
The work will largely involve desk research but occasional travel will be necessary for meetings with relevant groups/individuals. You will need to regularly track developments around India’s energy transition, policy and regulatory decisions impacting the energy infrastructure sector, business/finance related developments, legal decisions, civil society actions on these issues, etc.
Required Skills and Experience: A background in the energy sector and knowledge of energy issues is desirable, as is previous research experience.
A high degree of motivation and interest in working on the interlinkages between finance, energy infrastructure and climate change is key, as is the ability to work independently but in close collaboration with a team. Good verbal and written skills are important, with proficiency in English and at least one Indian language.
Salary: Competitive, Commensurate with experience and qualifications
