Senior Consultant (Aspirational District Unit)

Welfare is seeking resumes from qualified candidates for the above
mentioned post purely on contractual basis.
The Senior Consultant will be based at
Family Planning Division of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
and will directly work under the supervision of Deputy
Commissioner, Family Planning.
responsibilities of the position are as follows:
Under the supervision and guidance of DC Family Planning, MOHFW
work to plan, roll out and implement Aspirational Districts
Program and specific health interventions in these districts.
Engage in routine Program monitoring, tracking and Improvement in
Aspirational Districts in line with key Health indicators.
Provide programmatic support to states for strengthening and
implementation of key NHM interventions in Aspirational
• Conduct trainings and capacity building
interventions as per programmatic needs in Aspirational Districts
and states as and when required.
• Work with Stakeholders
such as Development Partners, NITI AAYOG, state government
counterparts to develop, implement, monitor and report on program
• Develop work plans, budgets, activities,
monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks for Aspirational
• Actively engage in development of
documents, operational and technical guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience
• Preferable-MBBS with Public Health
post graduate qualifications (MD / MPH) and 3+ years’ work
experience. Non MBBS with public health post graduate
qualification (MD / MPH) with relevant degree BDS/BAMS//M. Sc
(Nursing)/B. Sc (Nursing) /M. Sc in Social sciences with 5+ years’
work experience in Public Health will be considered.
Work experience in health systems strengthening, program planning
or implementation under NHM or High Priority Districts (HPDs) is
• Demonstrated experience in operationalizing
health programs at field level; working in strengthening of
District Health Action Plans (DHAPs)
• Should be able to
design strategies to achieve program goals and plan activities
towards the same
• Competency and experience in working on
health issues at program or policy level, monitoring and
evaluation, data analysis, public health administration and
• Ability to develop technical guidelines and
documents on health programs
• Willingness to travel to
states & districts to provide technical assistance &
ability to work on different assignments simultaneously to meet
• Demonstrated ability to work in a
multi-disciplinary team environment
Essential Skills &

Remuneration Range: Between Rs.
90,000/- to Rs. 1,50,000/- per month.
