Recruitment for the post of Senior Programme Coordinator (Community Processes)

About the State Health Resource Centre: State Health Resource Centre (SHRC) provides technical support to the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Chhattisgarh with the aim to strengthen public healthcare services in the state. It is an autonomous institution set up in the year 2002.

About the post: The SHRC is looking for a self–driven person with proven leadership qualities to head Community Process (CP) Division of SHRC. This division facilitates capacity building and implementation of the Mitanin Programme which has around 72000 Community Health Workers and around 4000 trainer-supervisors/coordinators. The key responsibilities of the incumbent will include the following:

• Ensuring quality in capacity building initiatives at all levels
• Leading a team of 30 District Coordinators, with support of a small team of Programme Coordinators at state level to ensure quality supportive-supervision
• Coordinating with Health Department at state and district level for smooth functioning of Mitanin programme
• Preparing draft annual Programme Implementation Plan for Mitanin and related initiatives for NHM
• Ensuring smooth implementation of social security schemes for Mitanins
• Carrying out periodic internal assessments of different initiatives under Mitanin programme and identify strategies for strengthening the programme
• Developing proposals for adding new dimensions to Mitanin programme keeping with the evolving health needs of the state

The incumbent will report to the Executive Director and will be supervising the work of a team of about 8-10 professionals at SHRC headquarters at Raipur. However, the work may involve frequent visits to the districts.

Eligibility and qualifications:

Post Graduate qualification in development/social work/public health/health management with at least 7 years of experience in community health


Post Graduate qualification in any discipline with at least 10 years of experience in community health
Should have good analytical abilities and writing skills
Should have good communication skills in English and Hindi
Age: Preferably below 45 years of age

Salary: Salary will be in the range of Rs 60,000 to 80,000 per month, commensurate with qualification and experience.
