Recruitment for the post of Senior Programme Coordinator (Health and Wellness Centres)

About the State Health Resource Centre: State Health Resource Centre (SHRC) provides technical support to the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Chhattisgarh with the aim to strengthen public healthcare services in the state. It is an autonomous institution set up in the year 2002.

About the post: The SHRC is looking for a self–driven person with proven leadership qualities to head Health and Wellness Centres team of SHRC. National Health Mission (NHM) has been promoting Health and Wellness Centres (HWCs) at 5000 population to provide comprehensive primary healthcare. SHRC provides support to NHM at state level as well as in facilitating operationalisation of HWCs in 18 districts. The key responsibilities of the incumbent will include the following:

• Coordinating the facilitation of HWCs in districts through a team of 15-20 consultants, mostly based in districts - to ensure time-bound roll-out Of HWCs with quality
• Carrying out periodic assessments to identify gaps requiring corrective action and presenting to NHM
• Assisting the NHM state unit in preparing guidelines to support desired roll-out of HWCs
• Carrying out rapid field assessments and evaluations of government programmes and other research relevant for developing relevant policies
• Ensuring quality of capacity building programmes for HWCs

The incumbent will report to the Executive Director at SHRC headquarters at Raipur. The work will involve 5-7 days of field visits each month to the districts.

Eligibility and qualifications:

Under graduate degree in any health related field, with Post-graduate qualification in public health/health management with at least 7 years of experience.

Should have good analytical and writing skills

Should have good communication skills in English and Hindi

Age: Preferably below 45 years of age

Salary: Salary will be in the range of Rs 60,000 to 80,000 per month, commensurate with qualification, experience and last pay drawn.
