The American Society for Microbiology [ASM] is developing seven short anthrax training videos for laboratorians. ASM is conducting 7 focus group discussions [FGD] to evaluate the videos which will include: Anthrax specimen collection [human], specimen collection [animal], specimen transport, diagnosis, and symptoms/ prevention.
ASM is searching for a short-term Monitoring and Evaluation consultant to prepare and conduct focus group discussions for the anthrax videos in production for use in India. The consultant will be responsible for  drafting and finalizing the interview guide and data entry template,  planning and preparation for 7 focus group discussions,  conducting 7 focus group discussions,  transcription, coding, and analysis of the 7 focus group discussions,  drafting and finalizing report on key findings and recommendations for video production company, and  providing feedback and advice, as needed, to the video production company on FGD findings.
The expected level of effort is 160 hours of work over 6 week in June and July 2021. The rate of compensation is dependent upon experience.
