Sabuj Sangha is a non-government development organization committed to improving the lives of less fortunate people in West Bengal through participation and empowerment. The organisation was established in 1975 and registered under West Bengal Societies Registration Act 1961. Our operational area encompasses the Sundarbans (South & North 24 Parganas), Kolkata, East Medinipur and Alipurduar District of West Bengal, India.

Sabuj Sangha believes in an integrated and sustainable development with a holistic approach. The organisation focuses on the following five thematic areas, while implementing rural development programmes:

• Health and Nutrition
• Education and Protection
• Livelihood & Women’s Empowerment
• Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
• Environment, Climate Justice and Disaster Response

Job description:

1.S/He will be responsible for the oversight of all financial activities of the Organisation.
2.S/He will develop all the required MIS for the Financial aspects of the Organisation
3.Together with the Director and his designate, S/He will work on statutory and regulatory compliances of the Organisation
4.S/he will train the accounts staff periodically and in new systems.
5.Do costing of all projects, services and programmes
6.S/he will efficiently do investments of surplus and other funds available
7.S/he will develop budgets and monitor
8.S/he will supervise all day to day matters pertaining to accounts
9.S/He will liaise with the auditor and engage actively in finalizing accounts
10.S/he will do all liaison for all financial matters
11.S/He Finance will be expected to lend proactive support to all the initiatives.

With the support of the Director and his designate, S/ He will review, evaluate and modify all the above activities. S/He will participate in all the activities of the Organisation and expand her/his scope of responsibilities as needed from time to time by the Management. S/He will report to the Director on a day to day basis.

Required Mandatory skills:

1.Must be well versed in statutory requirements (GST) for charitable institutions, capable of developing good systems for controls and monitoring.
2.In-depth Knowledge about Accounting & Finance
3.Well versed in Tally
4.Communication skills in English, Hindi & Bengali both written and oral
5.coordinate with auditors and finalize accounts, maintain necessary account-related information records and register
6.Well versed in online filings

Qualification & Experience: B. Com/M. Com / Inter CA & Minimum 5 Years

Location: South 24 Parganas, Kolkata

Salary: Commensurate with qualification & experience
