JOB SUMMARY

ACCESS Development Services is a national livelihoods promotion organization with focus on incubating innovations and developing sustainable models for livelihoods promotion of the poor. ACCESS has programme presence in 14 states of the country, implementing large, complex programmes in both farm and the non farm sector. The largest programme portfolio of ACCESS is in Rajasthan.

BACKGROUND OF THE POSITION

ACCESS has been working on projects to strengthen the non-farm livelihoods, particularly of the poor, and promote handmade textiles, handicraft and agro-processing industries to enhance income of the primary producers and linking these small producers to the mainstream markets as well. The product line includes apparels, leather, and accessories ranging from handcrafted jewelry. We are seeking applications for the position of a Sr. Project Coordinator for supporting the programmes on handloom, handicrafts and leather sector. For more please visit at www.accessdev.org

JOB SUMMARY:

Program Coordination:

• Provide support to the state teams/ project teams for effective implementation of ongoing non-farm projects and ensure the completion of project milestones within the planned timelines and budgets
• Oversee reports/ documents made under the project, and ensure timely submission
• Build strategy for monitoring & evaluation and help project coordinators in building appropriate processes & systems.
• Monitor and review the progress of ongoing projects by regular visit to the project areas
• Ensure documentation of important activities under projects; Prepare case studies and success stories from field

Program Development :

• Develop/Support in preparing/submitting concept notes/ EoIs/ proposals on non-farm based projects to different types of donors with a special focus on state government departments.
• Research, identify, and track funding opportunities.
• Cultivate donor/government relationships in order to stay abreast of business opportunities and funding trends.
• Coordinate business development and raising funds (grant, debt, and equity) activities.
Working closely with the Programme Development Team; communications team, and others for programme development in alignment with the strategy.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language is required.
2. Proven ability to prospect private sector partnership and follow-up on leads, develop concept papers, proposals, and budgets, cultivate and maintain prospective relationships and negotiate partnerships. 3. Demonstrated ability to work independently
4. Strong interpersonal skills

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION:
• Post Graduate preferably in Rural Management or similar subjects with total experience of 3 years.
• Experience in non-farm sector and an in-depth understanding of working with government
• Multi-tasking abilities.
• Should be able to travel extensively to project areas across India
