Work Location – Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh

She/he will be responsible for all the projects that are implemented in the State assigned to her.

Essential Qualification for the position:
• The person should have postgraduate in Social work or sociology or Development studies or any other humanities subjects.
• She/he should have an experience of working on and managing varied range of developmental projects for the marginalized communities.
• She/he should have good knowledge on urban and rural issues of Indian states.
• She/he should be actively involved with project staff in planning and implementing the project.
• She/he should have excellent communication skills to work with the different groups in communities.
• She/he should have knowledge and interest to work with different government departments with special focus on local self- governance.
• She/he should be good command over regional and English language (reading, writing and speaking) skills.
• She/he should be flexible and enthusiastic to take additional responsibility to ensure the achievement of IGSSS vision and mission.

Major Role and Responsibilities
• Responsible and Accountable for the implementation of all IGSSS projects of all the five themes identified in IGSSS Strategy paper.
• Ensure smooth grounding and implementation of three flagship programme of IGSSS - SuPoshan, and Satat Sahar in the designated geographical area in accordance with the approved project proposal and guidance from Thematic Lead/head.
• The SC will be responsible to coordinate with all the Rural and City Coordinators and Thematic leads to ensure smooth implementation of the project.
• As per the national level social development strategy of the organisation, one needs to plan state level strategies for implementation of the project/programmes
• Lead annual programme and finance planning, continuous program and finance review, linkages and convergence with important public and private stakeholders for all the project with special focus on the Su Posahn, and Satat Sahar program along with Facilitators.
• The SC should ensure that all the projects are implemented with full coordination with Local self-governance (urban and rural) and public frontline workers like ASHA, ANM, Rojgar Sevak, AWW etc.
• Timely and error free submission of progress and completion reports to Thematic lead.
• Manage all the financial management for all the projects with the Grant Management team.
• It is the accountability of the State Coordinator to ensure that the data in MIS are authentic and reliable. He/She should ensure that the Rural and City Coordinators are filling the data in MIS regularly. The MIS should always be updated is the responsibility of the State Coordinator.
• The SC will be responsible for the capacity building of the staff and community with Capacity building Coordination
• Represent and build productive relationships with the Government Departments, like-minded civil society organisations for enhancing networking and convergence to ensure people’s development.
• The SC will propose new concepts to address the social issues in their states. They should cooperate in the formulation of new programmes and thereby in resource mobilisation with the larger IGSSS team.
• The SC will try to develop IGSSS as knowledge centre which will play an active role in building the capacity of civil society organisation in the state.
• The SC will monitor regularly (monthly) all the projects (in the state) and ensure the achievements of the results as envisaged in LFA (submitted to donor)
• The SC should ensure that State level macro analysis of the data as per the developmental work carried out by IGSSS is documented and articulated well for better dissemination.

Remuneration / Package / Benefits: Maximum Budgeted Salary to be offered INR 60000/- per month (Cost to Organization) based on experience and overall fit including PF as per law.
