POSITION: Team Leader

DEPTT. /LOCATION: Kantabania, Dhenkanal

REPORTS TO: Head

JOB SUMMARY (clear and concise summary to establish an alignment between staff member’s and organizational objectives) .

The Team Leader is a salaried staff of ACCESS Development Services to be posted at Kantabania, Dhenkanal to implement Women Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Project (WEE) supported by Tata Steel Foundation under its CSR initiatives. It is a livelihood finance project for three years to bring improvements in the alternate livelihood pattern of 2000 households through enterprise creations in 12 villages of Dhenkanal and Angul district. S/he shall report to the State head, ACCESS Development Services and is overall responsible to manage the micro-Finance and Livelihood portfolio of the Project. The Team Leader will manage the day to day operations of the micro finance and Livelihood program across the operational villages of the Project.

The Team Leader will manage diverse set of relationship with external institutions-technical & financial and government agencies, in order to meet the purpose and goal of the project and responsible for achieving all the deliverables. S/he would represent the Project on behalf of ACCESS Development Services in different forums and develop strategies for creating more enabling mF and Livelihood environment in the project villages.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (determine key responsibilities) :

1. /he will be responsible for achieving the overall project deliverables in microfinance and livelihood programs
2. S/he will be responsible for successful implementation and monitoring of microfinance and livelihood programs as per the strategies and guidelines.
3. S/he will be responsible for effective utilization of Budget in the schedule time frame.
4. S/he will be responsible for general management and administration of the Project Office.
5. S/he will be responsible for organizing regular planning and review meeting of the project and cooperative.
6. S/he will be responsible for ensuring institutional and financial sustainability of the cooperative
7. S/he will be responsible for Introducing innovative marketing systems for SHG products.
8. S/he will be responsible for leveraging government schemes/subsidies/programs related to agriculture and livestock development.
9. Leveraging subsidies/grants of horticulture and agriculture schemes for grounding demonstrations
10. Establishing tie ups of the Cooperative with one insurance company and a formal financial institution.
11. S/He will be responsible for tracking the loan portfolio and generate accurate information of the Cooperative.
12. S/ he will assist the cooperative in financial planning, estimation of loan demand & overall portfolio management.
13. S/ he will assist the cooperative in preparation of Business Development Plan.
14. S/ he will be responsible for developing RLF policy for the cooperative.
15. S/he will be responsible for disbursement of loan funds and overall management of Revolving Loan Fund.
16. S/he will be responsible for capacity building of the Project staff on loan appraisal, critical loan processing, delinquency management etc.
17. S/he will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective collaboration and alliances with government counterparts, NGOs, consulting institutions, micro-finance and Livelihood networks, financial institutions and donors.
18. S/he will be responsible for timely submission of Project progress reports to respective stakeholders internal & external.
19. S/he will be responsible for maintaining cordial relationship with donor and also responsible for releasing the project fund in time.
20. S/he will be responsible for timely reporting of the project status/progress and submit report in time to the state office and AHQ.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

3. Excellent written and oral communication skills in Oriya, Hindi and English
4. Expertise in Livelihoods, Microfinance, Enterprise promotion and Women Empowerment
5. Assertive and proactive in requesting for assistance.
6. Adaptability and flexibility.
7. Innovative and creative in using opportunities and creating the same for staff.
8. Problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
9. Excellent interpersonal skills.
10. Should have at 5 to 10 years of experience in community based Microfinance and Livelihoods, promotion and management of Cooperatives as well.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION:

Team Leader should be an MBA in Rural Management or Post Graduation in Social Science .
